So I have a Ryzen 7 5800x (at stock) and I'm cooling it with an NH-D15 but the temperatures are kind of ridiculous. The idle temperature is 25C, which is good, and the maximum load temperature (tested with prime 95 and aida64) are 82C which is kind of high for a CPU which hasn't been overclocked ...I have a 5800X with PBO enabled (5GHz boost) and a NH-D14 cooler with 2x NF-A12X25 fans instead of the stock fans. My idle temps are 35-40°C and gaming temps are 50-65°C (depending on the game). While 80°C should be fine, it's probably affecting your boost frequencies and thus is probably impacting performance.105°C. AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS. If the CPU exceeds the maximum operating temperature then problems such as random resets can occur. Number of CPU. Low Mid High. Top 34%. 711 CPUs 100°C - 106°C. 100°C. But what makes this chip different to other Ryzen ... Try setting PBO to disabled (default is auto) and setup a slightly more aggressive custom fan profile for your CPU fans, then use Ryzen Balanced OR a custom Balanced power plan with its minimum processor state set to 85% or lower (Higher for slightly better performance, lower for better idle temps). The clock speeds going down bellow 2200mhz is ...Recently built new PC with the following: Ryzen 7 5800x Gigabyte b550i Pro AX mini ITX (BIOS F13i with AMD AGESA Combo V2 1.2.0.2) Kraken x53 240mm AIO 32GB gskill 3600mhz 1070 ti FTW2 Phantek Enthoo Evolv mini ITX tower (total of 1x120mm fan on back, 2x120mm on radiator above, 1x200mm front fan)...The Bottom Line. AMD's Zen 4-based Ryzen 7 7700X is a no-doubt-speedy CPU, but it's outshined by Intel's 12th Gen Core i7-12700K.
